Personal Bests
Competition Results

Asada has landed triple Axels in competition (2005 ISU Junior Grand Prix Final and Junior Worlds). Her sister Mai (two years older) is competing at the international level as well and finished 6th at the 2006 Four Continents Championships. Mao and Mai Asada switched coaches after the 2006/07 season and moved from Japan to the USA to train with Arutunian. Asada has been training on her own since January 2008, monitored and supported by coaches from the Japanese Skating Federation. Asada switched coaches following the 2009/10 season. She is now skating in shows. Asada launched her own kimono brand in 2011. Asada sat out the 2014/15 season and performed in shows.
