Castile started skating at age seven because her grandmother signed her up for skating lessons as a birthday present. She switched to pair skating in 2003. Okolski previously competed with his sister Colleen. He plays various instruments such as guitar, drums and harmonica. Castile designs her own costumes. Castile/Okolski missed the 2007/08 Grand Prix season due to her suffering from injuries (sprained ankle, pinched nerve)
